[Ryoji lets out a soft chuckle at that. He isn't sure how much help he can actually be, but Vriska evidently has a hard time dealing with it all, and really, he wasn't the type to turn something like that down.]

[To be honest? It wasn't as much about him answering anything as it was about Vriska having someone to talk to about it. But he wasn't about to mention that.]

[Everybody here - and this whole place, in fact - is always full of surprises, actually. One might think he'd get used to it by now, but he gets caught off-guard each and every time, still.

And that description makes him chuckle, because he's suddenly remembering their first encounter which took place such a longer while back by now.]

Like I said, I'm not sure there are even any secrets in regards to this. And I have a feeling our ways of trying to cope with it might be a bit different...

[And first things first! They weren't about to just stand there and talk about it, were they? Ryoji finds a bigger rock by the lake's shore and turns to sit on it, encouraging Vriska to do the same.]

Doesn't the fact that Hanna is happy make you happy? Even if... [He trails off, as if actually trying to imagine it for the very first time... And all of a sudden he's not really so sure of his words anymore.]

[she stays standing, walking slowly along the lake's edge and kicking a small stone in front of her]

I can't help it. But it's not like I try to spend every moment of my life with him, either. I know he needs his space. It's just that... I can't seem to be either happy nor really content without him around.

Also, you're lucky to be able to live with your most precious person. I imagine Hanna doesn't mind your company, now does he?

... I guess I know what you mean. If the Animus took him away and he were gone it would be hard to be happy. But when I know he's around, I'm fine.
