Yeah, there is.

A few people were making this "Be an Asshole to Hanna Month", I guess, because three different people were jerks to him three different times! And I told them to cut it out-- I was even nice about it with this one guy because he wasn't really doing it on purpose-- and they were all like "go away, this doesn't have anything to do with you, mind your own business". And so then I got mad because they were being assholes to Hanna and because they were just blowing me off. And then later I told Hanna that I'd try harder not to care because it doesn't matter if other people think I'm useless to him, because we know that's not true; me and him. But I keep thinking about it.

What if they're right, and I'm stupid for trying to make a human my moirail?

[Ryoji intently listens to her, not interrupting anything before she's actually finished. And he can't help but think how familiar all of this actually sounds.]

You know what, Vriska-chan... I was in a similar kind of situation myself just a few days back. And I had doubts whether I did the right thing with standing up for Joshua, too. But I've talked to him about it. And he told me that it's normal, and justified, for us wanting to protect people dear to us no matter what.

And listening to your explanation right now... if you ask me, I think you did the right thing. I mean... if someone was clearly hurting Hanna and you saw it happening, how could you just stand by and watch? If you love him, nobody should be telling you that Hanna's well-being doesn't concern you.

He hesitates for a moment, still, but... suddenly, there's a flash of a light - it takes barely a second - and before anyone knows it, in the spot where Ryoji stood just a moment ago, now there's something way bigger and different-looking levitating above the ground.]

[The figure sounds nothing like Ryoji, though, its voice odd having an odd, metallic ring to it.]

Yes. I might look and sound different... but it's still me. This is how I look like in my Shadow form.
